Service summary
I Joined the 1st Battalion the Kings Regiment in April 1987, and my first overseas posting was Berlin in 1988. Following this, I spent just over 2 years’ in Northern Ireland and obtained promotion to LCpl and a team commander. In 1993 I was posted to London on public duties including positions such as Buckingham Palace, Tower of London and Windsor. One of the benefits of a military life is the opportunities to train, in 1995 I was posted to ITC Catterick as a training Corporal the infantry basic training depot and was there for two years training recruits to become infantry soldiers. I also enjoyed the opportunity to travel and serve including places such as Cyprus, Bosnia, Belize Brunei and Canada along with two major tours of Iraq telic 2 in 2003 and telic 9 in 2007. I also returned from there playing a major part in setting up Shackleton platoon which helped injured soldiers back on their feet. My last three years was spent recruiting for the Army. Leaving the army in 2011 as a Colour Sergeant.
Skills summary
Once I had left the service, an opportunity presented itself to start my own mobile locksmith business. ‘Lock Smart’ covering the whole of Merseyside with a fast response time for both domestic and commercial clients. We also provide an upgrade service allowing customer to obtain the highest levels of security to British Standard’s without the need to replace Windows and Doors. All of this is endorsed with CRB clearance and expert security advice and free security check.
