Registration Process – 6 simple steps to get you on our site!

Are you finding it difficult to sign up to our site? Do you want to see what the process entitles? Here is a quick and easy step-by-step guide taking you through each part of the registration process. All you need is your email address and your credit or debit card. It only takes a couple of minutes to complete so you can get on with your day!

To get started simply go onto our website, and click the “Become a member” button in the top right-hand corner as this will take you straight to page 1 of the registration process.

Step one – About You

The sections to complete are:

  • Title
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address

This is just standard information that we need to get your profile and your account up and running and once completing these details, simply click the next button.

Step two – Skills

This section is all about your time in the forces as well as the skills you have gained from this.

The sections to complete are:

  • Forces/ services type
  • Rank/position
  • Date from, date to – This is not displayed on your profile, it is to simply calculate how long you were in the services.
  • Service summary – You can include as much detail as you like for this section, it basically just entails what you did throughout your time in the services.
  • Skill/trade – Once registered you can choose up to 5 skills or trades that you specialise in however for the registration, simply choose your primary one.
  • Skills/ trades summary – This just includes what you are doing now, what qualifications you have related to your skill or trade and any experience you feel is necessary to include.

Step three – Details

This section is all about your business details.

The sections to complete are:

  • Business name
  • Address
  • City
  • Postcode
  • Address display – This gives you the option whether you would like your address included within your profile. If you choose to tick this box, your full address will not be on display, just your map location
  • Areas covered – Once registered you can choose up to 5 areas that you specialise in however for the registration, simply choose your primary one.

Step four – Your Profile

The sections to complete are:

  • User profile image
  • Company logo
  • Company website – Including your website will help with your backlinks and improve your google rankings as well as give the user some information about you.
  • Social media links – Simply copy and paste your links

Step five – Process Complete

The sections to complete are:

  • Where did you hear about us
  • Terms and conditions – These just include standard terms and conditions with a privacy policy included.
  • Fill in the discount code – Use the code VNS18 to get 12 months free membership and a discounted registration fee of £5 plus VAT
  • Card details – This is a secure transaction using https.

Once the payment process has gone through, you will receive an email asking you to activate your account and select own password. After this, you will be able to login in to your account and edit your profile adding in your opening times and your additional information.
